One Room Challenge

When I found out Hannah was a girl, I began searching for nursery ideas-even though I didn't put much thought into my previous two nurseries-merely buying furniture and some cheap bedding on overstock and making it work, I knew I wasn't going to let this opportunity pass me by!
Gone are the days of gender neutral.

Many ideas struck me as pretty and worthwhile-but then this caught my eye and I knew, this is it!

Take a look:

So, I am linking up with Calling It Home for a one room challenge.
Every Wednesday I'll document the progress of the room for 6 weeks.
End Goal: Hannah's completed nursery!!!

This is the inspiration board that has me itching to get this party started!
One Room Challenge

Instead of the room being a dumping ground, I cannot WAIT for it to be a beautiful space that I'm not overwhelmed with anxiety every time I lay eyes on it.
There are a lot of DIY tasks that need to take place as I'm trying to keep it budget friendly by reusing as much as possible from the previous two nurseries.

Inspiration is funny-I'll wrack my brain for days trying to come up with whatever it is-a poem, a theme, how to decorate, etc-when all of a sudden it hits you!
In the shower.
In the car.
At work.
Of course while at Target or while browsing Pinterest is no surprise there...
I've been collecting items and just stashing them away.

I also have a surprise DIY focal wall in addition to the wallpaper wall-just as a way to soften it up.  I am suuuper hopeful it isn't too hard to pull off :)

Here is the room currently-don't judge

So, mission accepted!

    1. Thank you! Hope it isn't too hard to pull off! I'm so impatient DIY tasks are a real challenge, and now that I'm working full time again it's hard to take small bites out of huge projects!!!

  2. I love a pink girly nursery. This will be so fun to watch. Thanks for joining in, and good luck. No judgement on that room, we all have at least one room that we don't think is 'camera' ready. It's the perfect space for your plan.

    1. I am so excited to get it all done and to sit back and relax! A few of the DIY projects will be trying not only in terms of time management but also figuring it all out and being patient-really not my strong suit.

Question-I am really terrible with technology so I am having a hard time figuring out how to upload the image on the sidebar...tips please!!! Thank you thank you!

  5. Looking forward to seeing your transformation. I, too, am working on a nursery for my grand daughter which also has to double as a guest room. It should be interesting! LOL!
