For the home
Forget jewelry, how many of you are longing for some new home cleaning/care products? I know I am! We recently bought this vacuum to use upstairs.
It's an easy, lightweight, portable vacuum. That means I can quickly move between all areas of the house, and it's lite enough my big kids can do some cleaning for chore money too! The downfall is, depending on how many places you need to clean, it might need to charge, as oppose to an endless power supply from a plug-in vacuum. The other downside, in my personal opinion, is the need for a charging dock. We bought the additional stand which holds the vacuum and all it's tools. It is somewhat bulky, and requires more space than we have in any storage capacity. However, even without the stand, the vacuum needs a plug for charging. To me, that's just an extra hassle and obviously can be an inconvenience depending on where your outlets are. I was looking forward to hiding this away in a closet upstairs, but there isn't an outlet in either closet, so right now it remains out in our living room.
People rave about steam mops. I've gone through my share of mops, and this one is no longer with us, but I know it's an option some people might love!
I'm very curious about the roomba. Between being constantly at home with five kids and a dog (think super mess!) and having hardly any time for even the most necessary of tasks, I became curious. Did you know there's even a roomba for mopping the floors?!?
It's going to start getting warmer soon, and if you're like me, you hate sleeping in a warm room. Our house has poor air circulation and our room, of course, is the last to get the air conditioning! I do not sleep well when I'm hot, so temperature and air circulation are very important to me. When we moved in, we knew we were going to install a ceiling fan, but still, almost three years later, we don't have one installed, it's still sitting in the box. So, my personal gift this year from DrH is this fan!
Now this isn't just any fan, this fan is actually meant to cool the entire room-not just the place it's aimed towards. We've had some cool nights since it was delivered, but I can't wait to try this!
Gadgets
If you're looking to send a gift giver to someone who loves gadgets, I have some suggestions for you! I recently heard about people installing towel warmers in their bathroom. Partially for comfort and luxury, but also because it ensures they dry well. I was shocked at how much they cost and gave up on ever having one, plus they require a lot of wall space for hanging which isn't an option for many people. So, I was elated when I found a super reasonable option.
Bonus, there's no installation required!
I've heard great things about the ember mug.
I prefer my coffee on the lighter side, which means even right off the bat, it's lukewarm at best. Then, add in lots of milk, and I drink my coffee throughout the day. Room temperature is how I've grown to accept my coffee. The ember cup could be a game changer for anyone like me! There are cheaper options, but I can't vouch for them and I don't know anyone who has tried them, but I know the Ember cup gets rave reviews.
Another gadget gift is this LED mirror.
It's perfect for carrying in a larger bag-daily or on vacation. I'm a big proponent of tweezing and I know this would come in handy!
Beauty
I'm also a lover of beauty. There are several gifting options at Sephora. One of my favorites are the perfume samplers.
You get to try many designer fragrances, and then you get a coupon to turn in for a full size bottle of one of the choices. It's a great way to get a designer perfume for much cheaper.
There are also several other types of sets. Like lip sets.
This is one I would definitely consider, BITE lip products are wonderful and I've been using them for several years. Summer is coming, this one would definitely be a hit, it's actually on my wish list!
I was introduced to this scrub at a manicure one day oh so long ago, and I loved it.
I gifted it once, and I know it was thoroughly enjoyed.
Food
I think being out of routine and feeling down about the stresses of home school and the uncertainty of what life will bring has me craving sweets. How yummy does this vegan, pareve chocolate look? I can't wait to order from Coco Jolie Chocolates!
Another sweet option, one of my absolute favorites, is Brownie Points!
I have sent gifts from here many times to doctors, friends, places of work- it never disappoints. Ordering online is so simple and their delivery system is spectacular.
Flowers & Gift Cards
Of course, there are always flowers-did you know Costco does flower delivery? It's much cheaper, and the flowers are beautiful, but the delivery is a little more restrictive. You need to order more in advance and they don't deliver every day, unlike a local florist. There are also gift cards. My favorite place to receive a gift card to is Nordstrom because they carry products in every category-from baby to makeup! You can't go wrong!
Local Love
If you're local to someone, and you just want to show some love, consider buying a small helium tank from a local store like Walmart or Target. Amazon has many helium balloon options and their quality is just like what you'd find in a local party store. Fill some balloons and leave at their door!
I's love to hear what is on your Mother's Day wish list!
